I'm glad. I've watched that show from the beginning and enjoy it. I do have a question. Is Dalia crazy now or something? Is she going after Tessa's father?

The ABC network has ordered just 13 episodes for Suburgatory's third season. There goes Subutgatory's syndication chances.

3rd season of Suburgatory to premiere on 15 January 2013.

I still think that, since Suburgatory is not produced by ABC's in-huse studio (Warner Bros. produces the show) and seeing as it has not reached the number of episodes required for syndication (there'll be just 57 episodes at the end of this season), it'll probably get itself cancelled.

I have enjoyed this show off and on for 2 seasons, but am not sure I will last through this season. Noah and Ryan were pretty much my 2 favorites, and both of them gone just sucks. I hate Dahlia and Dallas, and the remaining Shays. I wish they'd bring Malik back as well.

Painfully unfunny episode, though the show once again does serious stuff decently. I did like how they responded to the criticism of last season's finale. We all didn't like how the season ended with George and Tessa on bad terms, and they sure fixed that within the first 90 seconds of the episode.

I only recently was turned onto the show and admittedly haven't yet gotten through season two. However, I didn't think jumping into season three would be so jarring. Lisa has physically morphed into a munchkin Elisabeth Hasselbeck, totally at odds with the character. Ana Gasteyer's character, who I found oddly endearing in season one, has just become bitter and nasty. Cheryl Hines seems to have fallen into complete real housewives caricature. Dahlia was really the only one who engendered a single laugh from me during the half-hour.

It seems unthinkable that so much changed in a sitcom during the sophomore season. I guess I have incentive to binge-watch this weekend and see how bad the fall-off was from the first to the second season. But wow, what a disappointment.

Not too happy with this season so far.

I did like Dallas trying to force-feed Dalia, esp when Dalia just kept her lips pursed together as the fork of eggs butted up against them.

I also liked Dalia's referencing the "I drink your milk shake" scene from There Will Be Blood. Dalia Day-Lewis.

The Foster Kid Fair was pretty funny, set up like a pet adoption fair. I liked that a couple of kids had t-shirts on that advertised their selling points. Early Walker and Talented.

I wasn't so thrilled with the actor playing Victor. (And I can't hear a child being called Victor without thinking of the creepy Victor on The Returned.)

I was glad to see Malik again, then sad that he didn't get much to do.

I'm not a fan of Lisa. I used to like her when the series started, but she just bugs me now.

To me, in the first two seasons, while the Shays weren't great to Lisa, you could tell they cared about her at least. This season they act like she doesn't even exist, like she's some random stranger renting a room. It's not funny anymore, IMO.

I still think it sucks heartily that "budget cuts" were made. ABC keeps digging shallow graves for the funny shows it has managed to put on air. I'm sure a true boatload of cash goes into just the cast salaries of Trophy Wife, and it's very disappointing to me that they either constantly switch time slots, fire good cast members or force a hiatus on the shows that have promise or have shown they have a solid premise and good chemistry.

A lot of what this show does, I think, is too weird to really make any relevant points about city vs suburbs, or even middle class vs the staggeringly rich (but not billionaires). The high school cafeteria has a carving station. The Shays openly talk about being empty nesters now that Ryan's gone but not Lisa. But without any on-screen reaction to all this weirdness (what little reaction there is, is ultra subtle), it ends up that the show just throws random weird stuff up on screen. It's all set-up, no punchline.

God this show is a mess. This is supposed to be a sitcom? I've always enjoyed this show some weeks and thought it blah other weeks, but haven't found any enjoyment yet this season. It might be getting deleted from the DVR very soon. I just don't care about the trials and tribulations of George and Dallas's breakup.

I'm not sure on the watching part, but I think a number of posters have felt there has been a serious decline in the quality of the show - I know I have. Originally, the show took a number of archetypes and made them interesting despite the fact that they were often unlikable and unsympathetic. Tessa as the new in town, loner who is smart & feels like an alien - but she was often a bit snotty about being from the city and generally had a superiority complex about that outsider status and embracing how it made her different. Dahlia was a superficial bitch in the classical mean girl style but she dead panned it so much it was awesome. Ryan was the very pretty, very dumb jock who Tessa ended up liking (and with) despite being initially revolted by this oh-so-shallow thing.

I think a lot of the credit goes to the cast for selling these stereotypes as being a bit deeper, or at least a bit more endearing than should have been possible.

I think the writing has lost focus and they don't really know what they want to do with these characters anymore.

I really enjoyed this show in its first season and up through the point where Tessa's mom made an appearance, but I agree that more recently the writers got lost. The teenage wedding was just ridiculous and not in a good sitcommy way. I'll miss Dahlia, though.

Suburgatory is close to having enough episodes for a syndication package, the sales of which can bring in a lot cash for the studio. As a result, Warner Bros may be able to offer a cable channel like TBS a very attractive price for picking up Suburgatory for a fourth season. I’ll keep you posted.
