I've never seen the sitcom Julia. But I agree with everything else....

Why aren't FAMILY TIES, GIMME A BREAK!, and DIFF'RENT STROKES mentioned on this list? Those shows are completely about boundary-breaking families!

It was one of my favorite shows, TVLand use to play Julia on the weekends in the morning with The Ghost and Mrs. Muir.

That writer apparently hasn't done his/her homework. Because, the Evanses from Good Times never moved to Mississippi!

They almost did. But, James died before the move.

The show always stayed in the Chicago projects. Until the series finale. When they finally got some money to move out of the projects.

Yep, I'd agree with most of these. Haven't seen many of the later shows listed though.

One comment: the writer refers to the Ricardos' marriage as biracial. Lucy and Ricky were of different ethnicities, not different races. Okay, I know it was still a big deal in 1951 to present a married couple who were of different ethnic backgrounds, but race and ethnicity are not necessarily the same thing.
