the only difference in boy meets world is the laugh track does anybody feel like this show is somewhat similar to the wonder years.

I no its a little different setting in both shows Dragonflies but look their were 2 boys and one girl on the wonder years and their were 2 boys and one girl on boy meets world, also the wonder years was about a teenager growing up in the 1960's and boy meets world was about a teenager growing up in the 1990's.

I always thought it got those comparisons because of Fred and Ben Savage being brothers. I guess you can find parallels between the two, but I think you can find parallels in most shows if you stretch enough.

There's some similarities between Kevin and Winnie and Cory and Topanga. And of course both shows star Savage's , but they're still unique unto themselves. Personally, I think TWY is a much higher quality show. Much stronger overall. That's not to say I don't like BMW.

Asides from the Savage Brothers, no. WY was more pop culture and less Comedy I think.

I don't really consider the two shows the same (one was a single camera period piece show w/ narration while the other was a multi-camera, video taped show set in the present) other than, they both aired on ABC and they were both "coming of age" shows starring one of the Savage brothers.
I would like to consider BMW to be a more sophisticated, or less cheesy equivalent to Saved by the Bell (it debuted in 1989, so technically, it's more or less, a "pre-'90s show"). |

Boy Meets World I think, owes more to Dobie Gillis than The Wonder Years.
