Natalie Elliott argues the ABC drama has it all wrong: "'GCB's' perpetuation of stereotypes about the steadfast superficiality and tendencies of Southern female cattiness (especially between society-oriented women, as captured in the show), is baffling and counterproductive, especially arriving as it does on the heels of another beloved television depiction of a Texas community, 'Friday Night Lights.'" |

In my opinion, the show is a COMEDY, so it's supposed to be funny, not a real life depiction of what all southern women act like. I am a southern women myself, and I love GCB!
