Default Last Man Standing Premieres Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at 8:00pm & 8:30pm ET/PT on ABC

Last Man Standing - Tuesdays 8:00PM ET/PT on ABC
Premieres Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at 8:00 & 8:30PM ET/PT

You can't get manlier than Mike Baxter. He loves to have adventures while he's traveling for work and, of course, he drives a pick-up truck. But Mike is about to find out that it's not a man's world anymore. While he might be king of the hill at work at an iconic outdoor sporting goods store, he's the odd man out in a home dominated by his wife and three daughters (ages 13, 17 and 20). Today it's a woman's world, and this man's man is on a mission to get men back to their rightful place in society.

I tried Last Man Standing twice (The Pilot and the 2nd episode). In my opinion, the show is not very good and did not make me laugh once. I turned it off both times before the episode ended. I dont care much for the family dynamic, Hector Elizado trying to be funny as an offbeat character is just not him. The stupid boyfriend of one of the daughters. It's a really stale show, and if you liked Home Improvement, you may be disappointed. I think most of the critics are thinking like myself.

I will say that the actress who plays the mother, Nancy Travis is one hot MILF (with beautiful hair, and yes, an amazing female body). She is much more attractive than the Home Improvement wife. That's about it.

Default 'Last Man Standing' with Tim Allen is about 35 years out of date

http://www.miamiherald.com/2011/10/1...j ust-not.html

It's just not funny, says Glenn Garvin, who adds: "With tediously unfunny scripts and a listless cast that looks as if it can barely wait for the director to shout 'Cut!' so it can head en masse to the unemployment office, 'Last Man Standing' is some kind of voracious video parasite that sucks out all intellect, sense of purpose or will to live. Even the laugh track sounds thin and nervous, as if ABC executives are holding guns to the heads of the Modern Family cast just off-camera, threatening to shoot them all unless the 'Last Man Standing' studio audience produces a few titters."

It is hammily acted, lousily written and shoddily designed

Women won't like it, and neither will men // Just plain bad

You can hear the audience not laughing // It's a little sad

Give Allen credit for being on top of his sitcom game

One of the best of the new sitcoms...I don't care what the critics think.

Critics watched the same screener I did. I mentioned in my review that it was a very rough cut. I watched the final air version on Tuesday and it is much better when the final edits are in.

I gave it a 3/5 in my review (http://blog.sitcomsonline.com/2011/1...-standing.html) based on the rough cut, but after watching it on air it is a 3.5/5 or even a 4/5. Good start!
