Question Should UPN and WB Be Considered the Same Entities as the CW

Basically, this user on Wikipedia just reported and got me blocked for 31 hours for apparent edit warring over a template that I made in regards to the CW. The issue at hand stems from me incorporating articles relating to the networks that proceeded the CW, UPN and the WB. When the administrator blocked me, anyway he tried to twist my words around. It was pretty much they're word against mine.

I was trying to claim that since UPN and WB are in essence, early versions of the CW (therefore, their respective programs and affiliates are by default, also those of the CW's retroactively) they should be incorporated in a template for the CW. He seems to want me to believe that the CW is really a separate entity from UPN and the WB.

I was just about putting every considerably key article in relation to the two networks like programming and affiliate lists and what not. It's been changed several times from what I originally desired the template to be. It got to a point where I just said screw it, I'll just make separate templates for the WB and UPN to get certain people out of my hair.

Personally, WB and UPN should be considered the same entities as the CW in terms of programming...especially since the CW started with a schedule that was almost entirely made up of old UPN and WB series. The CW is born out of those two older networks, after all.

In terms of affiliates, not so much. Not every UPN affiliate signed on with the CW, same thing with the WB.

I see what you're trying to say; BUT, The WB and UPN were separate networks owned by seperate companies and each has their own historical significance, so even though they merged to become The CW; I think it's fair to continue referring to them as separate from The CW.

I think they have enough history on their own to not be lumped in with The CW. they are separate.

Calling The WB an early CW is an insult to The WB. The WB was my favorite network growing up, and I can safely say that I haven't watched anything on the CW since Reba and 7th Heaven ended, and both were WB shows.

The the owners of those defunct network (Warner Bros. for WB and CBS/Paramount for UPN) are co-owners of the CW.

An argument can also be made that the WB and UPN "merged" to form the CW.
