Charlie Sheen Hopes Rob Lowe Replaces Him on "Two and a Half Men"; Apologizes to Jon Cryer

Now that Charlie Sheen has officially gotten the boot from "Two and a Half Men", he says he wants rumored candidate, and "Parks and Recreation" cast member, Rob Lowe to replace him.

"He's a buddy of mine, he's a beautiful man, a brilliant actor, and I hope he does it and kicks its a-- because, you know, I still get paid," Sheen said in a radio interview with Los Angeles' K-EARTH FM Wednesday morning.

According to Sheen, his contract stipulates that he still be paid for the eight non-produced "Two and a Half Men" episodes from this season, as well as for next season.

Sheen also offered a mea culpa to "Men" co-star Jon Cryer one day after he called his former TV brother a "troll" to E! News.

"I'll apologize to Jon right now. I was in a mood," he said. "It's kind of a half apology."

Later in the day, the 45-year-old actor also appeared on The Dan Patrick Show in what he said would be his last interview. "This is where it all began and where it all ends," he said on the air.

Sheen explained that his many interviews in the last few weeks have made him feel "bitter."

"All they do is glad-hand me to get into my home, then they vilify me.... At the end of the day it's about ratings and commerce. They act concerned but their behavior is completely the opposite."

Sheen also produced what he said was his final webcast of Sheen's Korner on Tuesday night.

In other Sheen news, 74,040 applications have been submitted to become his intern, according to Internships.com.

Shortly before he was officially fired by Warner Bros. on Monday, Sheen tweeted that he is looking to hire a "winning" social media intern for eight weeks this summer.

As a full-fledged "Parks and Recreation" cast member, Lowe is bound to the NBC comedy for the next few years, which most likely rules out a sudden move to CBS.

the sincerity should be commensurate with the amount of vitriol displayed.
