I totally understand ABC wanting to end Boy Meets World on a positive note. They wanted fans to know that Cory & Topanga ended up together. It just seemed so silly to have them get married while they were both in high school. It just didn't seem realistic.

Well actually they were in college when they got married. I expect that the producers had a Cory/Topanga marriage in mind as an endpoint for the series from early on. They may have had to rush a little to get to that endpoint when they realized (or had a good idea) that they wouldn't be renewed for another season.

I think it worked out good. THey were going to get married at some point, so if they were ready, and I think they were more than ready, I say why not?

My main grip that is that having them get married mid-way into the season instead of say, the last or second to last episode felt a bit anti-climatic. Plus, since most of BMW's fanbase were adolescents/teenagers, did they really think that they would be interested in seeing a young married couple (as if they were you're parents) on TV!?

Now having looked back at the series at least 5-6 times, I wish they had either saved the wedding for the actual finale, or had final scene be a proposal on their first night in New York. It did feel rushed, and I feel it was Will Friedle who saved that two-parter!
