How many similarities can you think of between Richie Cunningham (Happy Days) and Eric Foreman (That '70's Show)
Both lived in Wisconsin Both shows they starred in were time period shows (the 1950's and 1970's) Both had 3 buddies that regularly hung out at their home Both had one of their buddies move in, (Fonzie moved in the garage apartment of the Cunningham home and Hyde moved in the basement of the Foreman home) Both had rather ditzy mothers Both had siblings that mysteriously disappeared (Chuck Cunningham and Laurie Foreman) Both the actors who played Chuck and Laurie were replaced with "fakes" Both Ron Howard (Richie) and Topher Grace (Eric) left their show before it ended. |

Unlike That 70s Show, Happy Days is actually funny. And I don't think Marion Cunningham is ditzy, she's a good role model.

To bring it all in full circle Topher Grace was in Spider-Man 3 as Eddie Brock/Venom alongside Ron Howard's daughter, Bryce as Gwen Stacy.

They are pretty similar. Eric is what Richie would have been like in the 70s.

They both had best friends who were abandoned by their mother. (Fonzie and Hyde)

Good observations, Markway and Marvo. I never would have come up with those similarities on my own, but it really makes sense! There are so many parallels that it seems the writers must have followed a formula.
