Mya, Kelly Osbourne, Donny Osmond Head To Dancing With The Stars Finale
Model Joanna Krupa was voted off on Tuesday night's show. By Jocelyn Vena Nov 18 2009 It's been an intense season, during which Aaron Carter got Robert Pattinson comparisons before eventually getting the boot, the dancers paid tribute to Michael Jackson and everyone from Taylor Swift to Shakira stopped by to perform on the show. But now the "Dancing With the Stars" finale is upon us, and the final three celebs to make the grade and dance in next week's show will be Mya, Donny Osmond and Kelly Osbourne. On Tuesday night, model Joanna Krupa and her partner, Derek Hough, were voted off the show. "I really came in the underdog so it's great that people actually appreciated our dances and our hard work," Krupa told People, adding that she was happy for her new friend Kelly Osbourne. "[Kelly and I] basically said, 'Whatever happens happens.' It was an amazing experience. We both came in here with no experience, so whoever gets to the next level, we're going to root for, and I'm definitely going to root for Kelly to win." Osbourne, Osmond and Mya are now left to battle it out for "Dancing" supremacy next Monday night before the winner is declared on Tuesday. In a previous interview with MTV News, Mya spoke about competing against Osbourne, noting that she was surprised that she wanted to be on the show to begin with. "I didn't think it was in her personality to do something like this, but it's great that she is," she said of rock progeny Osbourne. "And I actually met her last night, and she's very cute and funny, so she's very sweet. I was just surprised, 'cause she's more of a rebel to me." http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/162...1118/mya.jhtml |

This show has me HOOKED!!!!!!
Even though Mya dances the best of them all I like Donny. Plus I would also root for Kelly. I really wanted Derek and Joanna to win but they didn't. |

Donny Osmond Wins Dancing With The Stars
Show business vet beats out Kelly Osbourne, Mya. By Jocelyn Vena Nov 25 2009 Kelly Osbourne may have been the underdog and Mya may have been the pro in the group, but on Tuesday night show business vet Donny Osmond was crowned this season's "Dancing With the Stars" champ. And just what does Osmond win? Bragging rights and the coveted disco ball trophy. "If you saw the work that went into this season," Osmond told People magazine after the win, adding that season nine had been "an emotional roller coaster" for him. "[My partner] Kym [Johnson] is so amazing. Of all the things I've done in my career, this is right up there." Although the whole season's worth of contestants came out to celebrate the show's big finale, Osmond was the star of the night, even singing his classic tune "Puppy Love." As his name was announced he went over to hug his wife, Debbie. "That was so special for me to have Kym on my right and Debbie on my left. What a night," he said. "I was so shocked when Kelly was eliminated. I couldn't believe it." As for the trophy, he has the perfect place for it. "I'm probably putting it on top of my house with a spotlight on it for all the world to see," Osmond told E! News. "I'm so happy. I'm so happy. I'm so happy right now! I'm on cloud nine!" Runner-up Mya added that she had no hard feelings toward Osmond. "He is such a professional and he is teaching us all how to do it properly," she told People. "I have the utmost respect for him." http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/162...25/story.jhtml |

Since Donny has spent a lifetime in show business including co-hosting a variety show and appearing on broadway (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat) I think he may have had a bit of an advantage in this competition. However he also is a very hard worker and I'm sure he has earned this victory so I congratulate him.

Why did Donny win? He was much more famous than Mya, says Eric Deggans, and he had a hardworking attitude that led to steady improvement. He explains: "I've said before the only thing DWTS fans love more than a good dancer, is a mediocre dancer who gets good over the course of the show. (which also explains why another celebrity offspring, Kelly Osbourne, survived long enough to land third place tonight) And it doesn't hurt that Osmond's core fan base is smack dab in the middle of the fiftysomething female demographic most likely to addicted to the show." |

I was just wondering if anyone knows if the stars that appear on Dancing are paid anything at all for being on the show?
I find it hard to believe that they get "nothing" out of it instead of being on tv (exposure) and a trophy at the end. They must be getting paid something right? |
