I think Kelsey Grammer was PERFECT as Beast. I don't know why they'd give him an honorable mention.
I also liked Cillian Murphy as Scarecrow. The complaint they list seems more like it has to do with the script than him as an actor. I also liked the actor playing Gambit. It's more the script than the actor, that was the problem. |

Yeah, there's a lot on this list that I disagree with.
I also agree that Kelsey Grammer was excellent as BEAST. The only ones here that I do agree with are: Topher Grace as Venom Arnold as Mr. Freeze (but the whole movie was bad) |

Dunst was fine as Mary Jane; she was down to earth and still quite lovely; not in a "knock out" way but in a "girl next door" way, which, honestly, I prefer. I liked Murphy as Scarecrow and Berry as Storm too. Again, both roles were underwritten but the actors did a lot with what they had. And...HOW do you make a list like this and not include 40 something Nicolas Cage as 20 something Johnny Blaze/Ghost Rider? I'd also question the author's conclusions about Ozymandias doing what he did "for the greater good". He may have convinced himself that that was the case, and it may have in part have been true, but I'd say a lot of his motivation was for the satisfaction of his own ego, too. |

Murphy was also great as Scarecrow and he was wasted in The Dark Knight with a 5 second role. If Halle Berry had to be mentioned it should have went to Catwoman and not X-Men. Yeah, Ghost Rider is awful which is why they want to make a sequel-reboot to it. As for Watchmen, the movie has a tone of nihilism so that fit Ozymandias. |
