Eek Kirk Cameron Compares Charles Darwin to Adolf Hitler

Evangelical actor Kirk Cameron is on a serious crusade against Charles Darwin -- connecting the scientist's most famous and significant work to Adolf Hitler.

To commemorate the upcoming 150th anniversary of Darwin's "Origin of Species" -- Kirk has released a 6-minute long video on his evangelical website bashing Darwin's book along with C.D.'s famous theory of evolution.

In the video attack -- which Kirk made to promote the release of a reworked, creationist edition of "Origin of Species" -- Kirk essentially calls Darwin a racist, a woman-hater and claims Darwin's theory has an "undeniable connection" with Hitler.

But it gets better -- Kirk claims he will be embarking on a college tour, in the hopes of infiltrating the minds of America's future "lawyers, doctors and politicians."

To quote Kirk, "These students aren't stupid."

I think he goes way overboard with this evangelical stuff.

Kirk Cameron is a stupid irresponsible jackass.

preaching is fine, starting a crusade against something you have absolutely no ability or desire to understand is just wrong.

Why do some feel the need to get everyone believing in something superficial. I think God would judge us on how we live, not on what religion we buy into (if any). It wouldn't be right(ie Good/God) to judge any other way.

Seems they just want the power in numbers, or it's an ego thing.

Kirk Cameron just comes across as a smug, naive, alarmist and self-righteous ass clown. It's astonishing that Kirk Cameron doesn't seem to be aware that we're laughing at him instead of being "enlightened" by his moral crusade.

Lest we all forget, Darwin's theory of evolution was just a THEORY. As long as schools give equal time to teaching creation and evolution, it's fine with me. Kirk's sister Candace (better known as DJ on Full House) is also a Christian who ministers more to young women. She doesn't seem to go nearly as overboard as Kirk does. He could learn a lesson or two from his baby sister.

I'd like to lock Cameron and Tom Cruise in a room together and have them go head to head. I think Cruise would win because he's crazier, though statements like these make me wonder about Cameron's insanity.

I think there are some logical, rational people who are Christians -- and then there are extremist zealots like Cameron who give the normal ones a bad name.

Kirk, nobody cares about what you think. Go away.

Sounds like he has gone completely nuts. It started when he ruined growing pains and it just gets wores and wores. He has his own options fine, but he should not be basting someone for having different options. I think that is just looney.

Or a cage match!

I think Cruise would out-looney Cameron, though given his recent statements, who knows?

Cameron I think even renounced Growing Pains or his character, for being too loose morally. Gimme a break! His character was a G-rated teenage guy who liked the girls! It wasn't like he was popping his cherry week after week.

But Cat, I love the way you think sometimes! And this is one of those times!
