Question Jump the Shark jumped the shark?

I wanted to read the old posts on JTS, but when I went to the site, I found it had been taken over by TV Guide and the old posts are nowhere to be seen. Is there any place where I can find all the old posts, or are they gone for good?

I really hate what happened to Jump The Shark. It was funny site to look and read comments.

Default Brand New (Unofficial) JTS Site from the UK

Even the best TV shows run their course after a while, the greatest movies do one sequel too many, or celebrities choose yet another disasterous career move.

“Jumping the shark” is the moment when something peaks and begins its downward slide into obscurity. The phrase refers to a scene in Happy Days in which Fonzie, dressed in his trademark leather jacket jumped over a shark while water skiing. This moment is when many believe the show had peaked and its days were numbered.

Almost all of us have gradually realised that the series we had to watch has become the one you barely notice, and tried to pin-point the reason for things taking a turn for the worse. This website celebrates these moments. TV shows, movies and celebrities for you to comment on with user friendly A-Z forums .

Got something to say about last nights episode of a TV show? Driven mad by the ludicrous ending of a movie?? Annoyed by the endless sea of Z list celebrities??? jumpedtheshark is a community dedicated to telling it like it is. No more 5 star reviews . Just brutal honesty.

If you would like to vote aswell as comment then we have provided atleast two poll reasons ‘ Never Jumped ‘ and ‘ Jumped from The Start ‘ on each topic for you to choose . But we want to get your reasons too. If you have a reason you would like to add simply stick it on the top of your comment and we will put it up . Who knows , other members may agree with you more than us!!

Eggs and bacon. Sonny and Cher. Nostalgia and contempt. Some opposites just work together, complementing one another so that the sum is greater than the parts.

This is jumpedtheshark – the forum that allows you to decide when genius turned to mediocrity, and “must-see” became “can’t avoid”. The website is designed to give a platform for you, the public, to speak your mind – the funnier, the better. We welcome sarcasm , cutting remarks and good old nostalgia.

It’s easy to log in and start commenting. Simply:

1) Sign up to recieve a password . You can change this once you are on your profile page if you like .

2) Click on jumpedtheshark on the top left to leave your profile page

3) If you would like to vote on a topic, as well as comment, then please do so.

4) If you have your own reason why the topic has ‘ jumped ‘, then just stick it on the start of your comment and we will put it online.

So…what are you waiting for? Sign-up, log-in; and…

I wouldn't be surprised if Jumpedtheshark.uk gets shut down. TV Guide owns the "Jump The Shark" name.

I knew that it was a bad move when TV Guide acquired "Jump The Shark." It lost its credibility and...well, you know.
