Default Anyone remember 'The Last Precinct'?

Hi! Anyone remember the TV show 'The Last Precinct' from 1986? It was a police academy knockoff which was about all the weirdos working in the police force who were drafted into one department so as to not bother the other officers! It had Ernie Hudson from Ghostbusters, Adam West as the precinct captain and Wings Hauser as their chief antagonist - the local head sheriff who always has his crime busts (as well as girlfriends) scooped by the boys at the aforementioned precinct. I know it's terrible, but I LOVED it! Any help would be appreciated!

I sure do remember it. It was one of my favorite short-lived sit-coms. It ran
on NBC on Friday nights from April 11-May 30, 1986. It starred Adam West,
Jonathan Perpich, Rick Ducommun, Ernie Hudson, Randi Brooks (of the short-
lived sword & sorcery saga WIZARDS AND WARRIORS), Vijay Amritraj, Pete
Willcox (as "King," an Elvis lookalike; he also played an Elvis lookalike on an
episode of ALF), Keenan Wynn (son of Ed Wynn and star of the short-lived
adventure series THE TROUBLESHOOTERS), Hank Rolike, Lucy Lee Flippin (of
LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE and FLO), Wings Hauser, Yana Nirvana,
Geoffrey Elliot and James Cromwell. It was produced by Stephen J. Cannell
(THE A-TEAM, THE GREATEST AMERICAN HERO). The pilot got good ratings
following the Super Bowl, but the series was cancelled within two months.
Very funny show. Like SLEDGE HAMMER!, it deserved a longer run.

Nice to see I was not the only one who remembers it! Anybody out there have any episodes? I actually am the proud possessor of two of the aforementioned episodes ( the pilot ) and the one about a vampire at large. Best bit of the vampire episode: Adam West has just collared a suspect at the hospital where the vampire is supposed to strike next and says: You! Are you the vampire? Suspect: Vampire? I thought you were after me because of all the drugs I've been stealing from here!
Adam West: Damn! I actually thought we were on to something big here!

The Last Precinct was one of the few cop shows I liked. To me, it was a cross between Police Academy and Hill Street Blues. It was one of Adam West's few shows after Batman. It was a really funny show that perished too soon opposite Dallas.

Default The 90 minute pilot for the series...

...was seen right after the Super Bowl in January 1986 {but you'll never read THAT fact in most TV reference books!}- its mediocre ratings caused NBC to delay the series until that April....and they dumped it after two months...

Good catch, TV Knowledge Fan! I definitely remember watching the 90-minute pilot of this show after the Monsters of the Midway won the Super Bowl. Jeez, it's gonna be 23 years already!
