There is a definite Cheers connection on Desperate Housewives, i.e. actresses who appeared as women Sam dated or wanted to date:

Marcia Cross, playing Susan Howe, Rebecca's sister in Season 7;

Brenda Strong playing Vicky, Sam's date in Season 5 "The Cape Cad' after Diane said "No" to marriage;

Valerie Mahaffey, playing John Allen Hill's daughter Valerie in Season 9's "Achilles Hill."

Is this also a Paramount production, perchance?
