Mabel King- Born Dec. 25, 1932- Died Nov. 9, 1999 - 66 years old- complications from diabetes.

Shirley Hemphill- Born July 1, 1947- Died Dec. 10, 1999 - 52 years old- kidney failure.

Incidently, Shirley Hemphill was from Asheville, NC & attended school with one of my wife's Aunt's. Interesting......

May they both Rest In Peace- Amen

I found that rather shocking when I had heard the news of their passing and it was so close. I thought to myself, what is going on here??? two people from one of my fave shows died a month apart. WHAT IS REALLY HAPPENING?

Ironically, I knew a lady in Asheville who also grew up with Shirley, they had a little confrontation as kids, but they were friends.
