Hi all,
Wouldn't it be cool -- or, at least interesting -- to see another "Wonder Years" series, featuring many of the same events that were played out in the original show but narrated by an unseen adult Wayne, instead of the adult Kevin? I mean, a series about *Wayne* growing up in that house at that time. I would love to see the whole thing through Wayne's eyes -- to hear *his* feelings on the death of Brian Cooper, to hear what it was like for him dealing with a grumpy noncommunicative father, a spacy flower child older sister . . . and an annoying little brother. Why did Wayne feel compelled to torture Kevin the way he did? How did Wayne feel when Karen moved out? What did Wayne think of Winnie? Kevin's grandfather sold Kevin his first car for a buck. Did Wayne have any kind of similar experience? In other words, What did Grandpa Arnold mean to Wayne? Does Wayne have any nice memories of Paul Pfeifer? How did Wayne feel when "Wort" went to Vietnam? What's Wayne's version of going to Aunt Rose's funeral? Of course, a series from the perspective of *any* of the other characters would've been just as interesting. I wish they would've done an occasional episode like that. -------------------- Later, Art [This message has been edited by Artfiore1 (edited 05-16-2001).] |
