Default Did Monroe get raped in an episode or am I crazy???

I swear to god I remember an episode where Jim J. got raped by two fat women. It's apalling to think about, but I remember one scene distinctly: Monroe and Henry are talking to the cops (who are snickering the whole time), and Monroe mentions that his pager (a new technology at the time) was destroyed during the ordeal. The cops don't know what he's talking about. Cue laugh track.

Monroe: She broke my beeper. [cops look shocked]
Henry: [realizing how that might sound, attempting to clarify] Uhhh, his. . . gadget.

Have I just hallucinated this or WHAT?

No, you're not hallucinating that episode, I was actually talking about that episode the other day with co-workers about the fact that female-on-male rape does occur. I used the episode of TCFC about Monroe getting raped by two heavy-set women as an example (treated as a topic on an episode because it has been reported, though not nearly enough). Someone had said that "women don't rape men" due to the idea that "women aren't strong enough", but I had read, even before the episode years ago, that some women do. One of the issues brough up on that episode was, can a man be believed if a woman does it to him, or, is it less serious when a woman is a perpetrator? Experts have said that rape isn't just about sex, it's about revenge and humiliation of the victim.

I caught the end of this episode this afternoon on Antenna, about the last 10 minutes. Has any other sitcom attempted to tackle the subject of a guy being raped? Maybe something from the Norman Lear factory?

The only thing close I can think of is that episode of Diff’rent Strokes with the peadophile that tries to molest Arnold and his friend.

Not that I'm aware of. There was the episode of All in the Family where Edith almost got raped, but I've never heard of any episodes of Lear's shows where a man got raped by a woman or any other kind of rape.

Three's Company had an episode in which Jack is being sexually harassed by his female manager but it was dealt in a comical method.

I've not seen too much of this show but I've always thought Monroe was adorable.

Logo played that episode again the other night, and I can kind of get an inkling for why Ted Knight disliked that episode so much and why it was subsequently "banned" for over 20 years. It seemed like the producers wanted to make some sort of Norman Lear-esque social statement but it failed on numerous levels. Depending on your perspective, the episode not only comes across as misogynistic (female sexual predators must be overly lecherous, broadly drawn cartoon characters), but fat shaming, and kind of derogatory towards gay men. Know, Monroe was never to the best of my knowledge, officially said to be gay (like Jm J. Bullock is in real life), but you can kind of sense that they want to treat this decidedly effeminate acting man-child as a subject of ridicule. It's hard to figure out if we're supposed to be laughing at the absurd notion that Monroe was assaulted by two heavy-set women or feel guilty that we can't take his ordeal more seriously (unlike say if a woman was raped).
