Sammy should finish his career with the Cubs cause Baltimore ain't winnin nothin. They've been sorry for a long time.

Sammy Sosa's stats had gradually gone downhill in the past 5 years. It doesn't help that he still has time left on a pretty fat contract.

I think, when the Cubs still weren't considered a serious contender (i.e. pre-2003 when they should've beaten the Marlins in the playoffs), Sosa was more able to capitalize since the spotlight was totally on him.

The fans started to turn on him because of the corking incident and his blow-up with SI's Rick Rielly (over steroids). Sosa was in return, preceived by many as a phony ballplayer.

The man has become a clubhouse cancer with his frequent bad mouthing of his manager Dusty Baker. The final straw was at the end of last season when Sosa left a game very, very early. If you are a teammate of Sammy Sosa's why would you want him around if he won't have your back 100% of the time?

Sammy Sosa is not nearly the player he was. The Orioles made a bad investment on him.
