We already have enough "pre-school outlets" like Nick Jr. and PBS Kids as perfect examples. Boomerang is practically the only real outlet that he have right now for a "fix" for nostalgic cartoons. I first got Boomerang (my favorite portion is "Boomeraction" on Sundays) in August of last year after my family and I got Direct TV.
From: http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?t=118672 Cartoon Network To Launch Preschool Bloc By Maxie Zeus Cartoon Network will launch a weekday morning bloc of preschooler-oriented shows next spring, today's print edition of The Wall Street Journal reports, with Warner Bros. set to produce most of the new programming. It is likely that the new shows will air without commercial interruption. If the new bloc is successful, the newspaper reports, Cartoon Network is prepared to convert its Boomerang channel into a preschooler channel. http://www.cartoonnetwork.com/ Cartoon Network's official email (the last time that I checked) is ToonNet@aol.com. Here's other ways to can contact them (and please bug them to death)! :evilsmile E-mail: ToonNet@aol.com sgc2c@turner.com SpaceGhost@turner.com cartoon.gang@turner.com cartoon.planet@turner.com E-mail every address! Cartoon Network P.O. Box 7610 Atlanta, GA 30309 or 1050 Techwood Dr NW Atlanta, GA 30315 or P.O. Box 7555 Atlanta, GA 30357 Mail them long letters to demanding to keep things the way that they are (if it "ain't broke then don't fix it"). Here's some additional (more personal) info: Quote:

Boomerang getting converted?
![]() There's way too many "old school" toons that need to be seen by TODAY'S kids. The crap they produce currently pales in comparison to what we all saw in the '60s, '70s, and '80s. Where else am I going to get my fix of those classic Hanna Barbera cartoons and live action shows? Let's all hope and pray that the corporate stooges don't screw up a good thing and convert Boomerang into a pablum channel for drooling toddlers. Long live Captain Caveman and the Teen Angels! |

Poor, Boomerang!
I know that it used to be my channel. My brother has it on DirecTV. I hope that someday, Boomerang will become a preschool channel. I'm too old to watch preschool. It reminds of something from "Sesame Street". I am so disappointed. I really love old cartoon shows.

If they would put some of these shows on DVD we wouldn't need Boomerang.
