How tall does anyone think MTM is?
I heard DVD is about 6' 1". MTM looks about 4 or 5 inches shorter then DVD, when shes not wearing heals. I say shes probably 5'8".
But they're both pretty tall. (I think being thin as she was and wearing heels made her appear like she was as tall as DVD. But I don't think she was as tall as him) What do you think?

As Rob said when the woman in vet's office commented that his duck was big for his age "my wife and I are
both tall..."
I guess Mary's pretty tall, maybe 5'7" or 5'8". Strange, but she always looked taller to me on the Van Dyke and her own show when she weighed more. I thought she looked
even better that way.

Yea, she's 5'8. I remember reading an article online about that (recently).

I say without heels she is around 5'5 or 5'6 at the very most. However with her normal 3 or 4 inch heels she obviously looks much taller.

I think Dick Van Dyke is probably around 6ft 2 or 6ft 3, because when standing next to Bill Cosby who is 6ft 1, he appears to be a little bit taller.

I remember reading in one of Dick Van Dyke's books that he wrote in the 60s that he was his current height (current as when he wrote the book) of 6'1" at age 11. I just checked at imdb.com and they also quote that book as saying that he is 6'1". I think that because he is so thin it makes him look taller.

Hi all,
I don't know the numbers, but it definitely seemed to me that Mary *looked* taller on her own show than she did on the Dick Van Dyke Show.
I always figured it was because she was thinner in the '70s, creating an illusion of more height, and maybe because Dick Van Dyke is probably taller than Ed Asner, Gavin MacLeod, Vallerie Harper, maybe even Ted Knight...and because on the Van Dyke Show, I always thought of her as Rob's "little woman."
