I think we touched on this during another string, but does anyone know whether Mary was born in 1936 or 1937?

She said in After All that she was born in 1936. Biography said 1937. Tv Land's website as well as their special said 1937. Dick Van Dyke said that Mary was 12 years younger then him, which would be 1937. The Ultimate Dick Van Dyke Book says 1936. IMDb says 1936.

So does anyone know for sure? Does anyone know why there are two differnt years? If she was born in 1936 (which seems to be right), there are people from the DVD show that think she was younger then she was, so it seems that the difference was around back then. Why would she want them to think she was a year younger back then?

Mary was born in 1936. I have absolutely no idea why some people say 1937.

If Mary was born on December 29, 1936, she didn't miss being born in 1937 by a whole lot.

Let me clarify Art. Some say December 29, 1936 and some say December 29, 1937. Although she was born close to 1937, they are really off by a whole year.
