Hi all,
This is really nothing, I just thought it was kind of cute: While reading the autobiography of the 1960s & '70s movie and TV actress Yvonne Craig (She's best-remembered as Batgirl on the TV series "Batman." She also played the crazy green alien woman, Marta, on one of the most popular episodes of "Star Trek", along with countless other roles), I came across something that might possibly be of a little interest here. Apparently, Yvonne, in a guest acting spot on a TV show in 1962, had a particularly difficult time getting one specific line of dialogue right. At one point, after blowing the line numerous times, in exasperation, she said, "Rats and mice!" The show's live studio audience burst into laughter, but she eventually did get the line right. In the book, Yvonne goes on to say, "Months later, I ran into Dick Van Dyke who said that every time anyone made a mistake on his show, they played the soundtrack of my voice saying, 'Rats and mice!' Show business is filled with expletives, 'Rats and mice' never having been one of them until then!" Later, Art |

My "non-offensive curse" is also DVD show related... I always say "Crummy buttons!" when I'm frustrated and have to watch my language.

That's a good one! I like that. Hey, do you also say, "Yechh!" That's the word that's apparently supposed to follow the words "crummy" and "buttons." I just remembered -- I used to work with a young woman, years ago, who often exclaimed, "Cheese and rice!" during moments of frustration. Wow! I hadn't thought of that in ages. Later, Art |

Yes, actually, I use "Yechh!" in a variety of situations!
