The Resume (1990-94) Created by Keenen Ivory Wayans Cast members included Jim Carrey, Tommy Davison, David Alan Grier, Damon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Marlon Wayans, Kim Wayans, Jamie Foxx, T'Keyah Keymah, Steve Park, Alexandra Wentworth, Kelly Coffield, Kim Coles and Chris Rock Some of the more memorable bits/characters included: 'Men on Film,' 'Homey the Clown,' 'Fire Marshall Bill,' 'Wanda,' 'Parnel,' 'Lassie 1990,' 'Homeboy Shopping Network,' 'Vera de Milo' and 'Anton' Appeared on Fox Aired 113 episodes Nominated for 15 Emmy Awards (no wins) Why they might be annoying One word: Nepotism! One of the things it is most remembered for is the fact that it was an Afro-American sketch comedy show whose only break-out star was a white Canadian, Jim Carrey. Queen Latifah appeared as a musical guest (September, 1990). It had a cushy time slot on Fox Sunday nights, coming on right after 'The Simpsons.' Two of their more popular bits, Jim Carrey's 'Vera de Milo' and Jamie Foxx's 'Wanda,' featured Jim and Jamie in drag (could've done without that). After disputes between Fox and the show going into syndication, Keenen and Damon left the show. A year later, Kelly Coffield, Shawn Wayans and Marlon Wayans left the show. Why they might not be annoying They had a catchy theme song. It brought us Jim Carrey's comedy and Jennifer Lopez's ass. Robert Schimmel was a writer from 1992 to 1993. It was a breath of fresh air during SNL's awful early-90's run. They had a funny bit where David Alan Grier, whose character was gay, was marching with Tommy Davison, whose character was David's straight son, in a 'Straight Pride Parade.' They are in the process of releasing their seasons on DVD. Although their comedy was aimed at Afro-Americans, people of every race could relate to it and enjoy it. Sam Kinison appeared in an episode. They have yet to produce awful movies based on their characters/bits, ala SNL. Credit: Poeboy & His Name is Robert |

I liked In Living Color at least until the last season. Some of their skits were classic.
