Why they might be annoying It made Tom Arnold a star. The role of Becky switched between Sarah Chalke and Lecy Goranson many times. Becky was an overachiever-turned-biker chick who married a bad boy at 17. Darlene was a tomboy-turned-depressed goth who married and got pregnant at 19 or 20. Darlene's boyfriend, David, was adopted by the Conners. Why they might not be annoying It was very popular in its 9 years. The cast put up with Tom and Roseanne for those years. It had many twists (the ending, winning the lottery, Darlene and Becky, etc.). It was a very unique sit-com. Norm MacDonald was a writer for the show. Credit: I Hate U 10666 |
