SNL legend Cheri Oteri rings the bell to celebrate completing radiation treatment amid breast cancer battle​

Saturday Night Live alumna Cheri Oteri triumphantly rang the bell 'four times' after completing her 'last day of radiation' on Tuesday amid her breast cancer battle.

'I'm healthy and feeling so much gratitude,' the 63-year-old comedian – who boasts 442,000 social media followers – wrote on Instagram.

Oteri shared footage of herself at Providence Saint John's Health Center in Santa Monica, California, before thanking her 'amazingly talented' surgeon, Dr. Janie Weng Grumley, and 'champion of all things women's health,' Dr. Sherry Ross.

The Daily Mail has reached out to Oteri's representative for comment but hasn't yet heard back.

'Yay! Okay, heading in,' the Emmy-nominated actress, who had ditched her pain medications, said in the video.

'Doo doo, doo doo doo, doo doo doo! Look at all that machinery!'



Oteri received well-wishes in the comments section from SNL veterans Vanessa Bayer, Rachel Dratch and Bobby Moynihan, as well as her famous friends Rosie O'Donnell, Christina Ricci, Matt Bomer and Judd Apatow.

It has only been four months since the Pennsylvania-born funnywoman was diagnosed with ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS), in which abnormal cells are confined to the milk ducts, and she underwent surgery on April 26.

Oteri was still wrapping her head around the diagnosis when she met Dr. Jill Biden on April 8 at an 'incredible dinner' organized by the non-profit think tank the Milken Institute.

'She said, "All right, you're gonna get tired of me." And she says, "I'm going through this with you,"' the Independence Eve Live star said on the Dear Chelsea podcast on June 10.

'This woman, like, before my surgery, after my surgery, she just, she goes, "I am with you on this." I was blown away.'

Oteri gushed that the 75-year-old former FLOTUS 'is a woman with a huge heart, and through everything, she's like checking on me and just a beautiful human being. I've never felt so supported.'

The illness hasn't slowed Oteri's career down as she recently reprised her role as reporter Gail Hailstorm in Michael Tiddes's slasher parody Scary Movie.

The Groundlings alum might likely reprise her recurring role as health inspector Monica Ulrich in the third season of Reba McEntire's sitcom Happy's Place, which premieres October 23 on NBC.
