After my recent Then & Now pic of the famous Batman cave went viral with millions of views, one question kept coming up…

“What’s inside the cave?”

“Why is it fenced off?”

So, I went back to Bronson Canyon in Griffith Park to answer those questions.

In this video, I explore both entrances to the legendary tunnel, explain why visitors can no longer walk through it, and take a closer look at one of Hollywood’s most recognizable filming locations. While most people know it as the entrance to the Batcave from the 1960s Batman TV series starring Adam West and Burt Ward, this man-made tunnel has appeared in hundreds of movies and television shows over the decades. Originally created as part of a rock quarry in the early 1900s, it later became one of the most famous filming locations in Los Angeles.
