Here’s another Queen track: “’39,” from A Night at the Opera (1975). This one was written and sung by Queen guitarist and future astrophysicist Brian May (now Sir Brian Harold May, CBE, PhD, FRAS).

“‘39” is about explorers from a future dying Earth who travel into the vast regions of outer space to find a new planet for humans to relocate to. When the explorers return, their mission a success, only a year has passed for them but due to time dilation, 100 years have passed on Earth and the loved ones they’d left behind are all dead.

I guess what I’m trying to say is that Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar should’ve been called ‘39: The Motion Picture.
