How can a thread disappear? Or maybe I'm not looking in the right section? I think it would be Chit Chat. Dues dug up and old thread " what is your favorite department store" . I clicked on it earlier. Dues wanted to know if Sears and Macy's were named after real people. I knew they were, but didn't know their full names. And it would be Sears & Roebuck , two men.

Anyway I researched it for him. Thinking it would keep him a little busy and not bothering Dream Canteen for a while. I went back to post it and can't find the thread anywhere?

Mr. Sears is a " Richard head" ! Richard Warren Sears . I wonder if he was called Dick for short?

No. It was a rehashed 20 year old or so thread called " What is your favorite department store". And Dues posted that he likes Macy's . And are these stores named after real people, was there a Mr. Macy and a Mr. Sears? This was maybe around 11 AM or noon my time when I saw it . And by around 2PM when I went back to post the thread disappeared!

I mean, I really hope I didn't just imagine this??!!

Well so my research isn't a complete waste ....

Mr. Sears is Richard Warren Sears
Mr. Roebuck is Alvah Curtis Roebuck

They started the business in Chicago, 1892.

Mr. Macy is Rowland Hussey Macy , he started the business in NYC in 1858.

I thought this might keep Dude occupied for a little bit and give him a break from annoying people .

Found it! It's in Chit Chat classics . Which means he is really digging deep for old threads !

But at least now I can sleep tonight knowing that I'm not losing my mind and didn't imagine all this!

Anyway , he purchases what he thought was just a novelty item at a magic shop, and makes a wish that this girl will fall on love with him.

Be careful what you wish for was the main point of the movie. A really beautiful, cool, normal girl suddenly turned totally insane, overly obsessive, evil, basically acted pocessed by the devil ! Is this the girl you want to love you?

It was really a trip! A wild ride of a movie ! Two thumbs up from Siskel & Ebert ( Joshua and I) .
I’m glad I stopped reading this the first time. Too much info. But I read it now. I wouldn’t call her the villain. She was mind controlled. If anything the guy was the villain.

Yeah. That's true. The spell was put on her by him.
