I figure it will end up on both Blu-ray and METV Toons. It is the kind of project and piece of lost animation television history that METV would be interested in.

Animator Breakdown: “Porky & Daffy” (1938)

Interesting how a Three Stooges short about Curly boxing the champ was used as inspiration for this early Porky and Daffy Looney Tune.

(caution: using a Facebook account to report vulgar (or profane), mean-spirited, and disrespectful comments on a certain Cartoon Research Facebook group page to the administration of the page itself could result in that Facebook account from being banned from there)

(note: caution based on own experience there (of being banned after having had reported vulgar (or profane), mean-spirited, and disrespectful comments there to its administration))

Info on the 1969 comic book adaptation of The Colossal Show is linked to, but I'll add that none other than DC did an adaptation of Pantomime Pictures' Hot Wheels that went on sale about a half year after that comic, early 1970. Alex Toth art for both the series and the DC comic. Here's the cover of #1, it was a 6 issue run:

Jerry Beck picks 5 of his favorite Screen Gems Color Rhapsodies.

You can usually find these on Toon In With ME, Cartoon All-Stars, Totally Tooned In and of course, YouTube.

Thad's Collector's Vault Vol. 1 review. This is also in the Collector's Choice/Vault thread, but it fits here, too--

" An In-Depth Look at MGM's 'Dangerous When Wet' " (article)
Quote:
While Jerry Mouse’s sequence in “Anchors Aweigh” is more famous, Tom & Jerry’s sequence in “Dangerous When Wet” is more important to the story.

Jerry Beck wrote this Cartoon Research article on May 6, 2025. Quick Draw was being worked on and the music rights problems were being solved.

Here we are, a year and two months later -- nothing.

I haven't been at the Cartoon Research website in a long time, so seeing this thread made me want to pay a visit. Upon skimming through some sections, I discovered some old Japanimation called "Magic Boy."
https://cartoonresearch.com/index.ph...res-1958-1960/

However. the only "Magic Boy" I tend to think of these days is this guy;
