Good grief. Does that really bother you? It hides the threads from the View New Posts / View Today's Active Threads links and on the list of threads in the actual forums. I'm talking about the SO Classic Blue default theme. I didn't edit any of the other themes.

What more would you want? I had to specifically edit the code for it to even work that way. That's now how the default works.

Why don't you start your own forums if you want everything your own way? This isn't a Burger King. I'm glad to listen to some constructive suggestions which might improve the overall experience, but I'm not prepared to make massive changes to the forums structure or options. It has run pretty well for the last 26+ years the way I have it set up now.

Where did I say or even imply I want everything my way? I asked a question in good faith, accepted the answer and even conceded I’m likely in the minority and said I’d adjust accordingly. I hadn’t added anyone to my ignore list until today, and didn’t know that “View New Posts/View Today’s Active Threads” was a thing until just now. That aspect of the forum is new to me and I’ll look into it.

I didn’t mean to offend you, TJ, and there’s really no need to lash out at me. I hope your day gets better.

I'm not offended. It just seems like you are complaining for the sake of complaining. You want your own emojis. I'm sorry if our retro smilies aren't good enough for you.

How can I make the View Today's Active Threads / View New Posts links more viewable? They are at the top of every page as well as in the blue navigation bar. These links have been available since day one.

I'm glad the forums aren't jacked up for you anymore at least from viewing your screenshot. Hopefully you can familiarize yourself with some of the available options. I would be happy to address any other issues you may be having.

The only issue I have is that he just dumps a link and goes. Doesn't post anything from the article, no context etc. If it is a real person they should put more effort into their news reporting.
