Do you refer to your aunts/uncles as 'aunt' and 'uncle'? - Page 3 - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

i don't call them aunt or uncle really
i don't really call them by their first name either

on my moms side icall my aunt Aunt Karen..
but on my dads side the only person i call by their 'title' is my grandpa, and i call him pap. but the rest of them i'm just like, "hey you.."

Honestly, I'd be kind of interested to see what influences whether the person gets called Aunt/Uncle? It's it cultural? Geographic? What? Is there a noticeable pattern along any trend lines to indicate a common factor....

My family has always been informal about everything - holidays, names, etc.

i think it all depends on what parts they are born with - unless Uncle Miltie starts wearing dresses, of course.

None of my siblings have kids, but we're all refered to as Uncle by our cousins' kids.

One particular aunt and uncle actually just left my house....definitely Aunt [Name] and Uncle [Name].

Something that has to be understood with my situation: My youngest Aunt and Uncle, on EITHER side of the family, is in their mid-to-late 30s - we're talking a 15-20 year age difference.

I would hate it if someone called me UNCLE.. I hate Uncle,MR,sir,etc...

Either use my name or call me Buddy
