It's Wild & Crazy Kids, Nickelodeon's sorta-game show going out to the park and making a mess! We take a look at the show, its creator, its 2002 reboot, and ponder why we haven't seen any more of this franchise in the last twenty years.

Following the success of Double Dare and Finders Keepers Nickelodeon knew that game shows for kids were such a smash hit for them that they knew the secret to attracting the kid and teen audience and that was game shows. In 1991 Nickelodeon debuted Get The Picture which launched the career of Yes, Dear star Mike O'Malley and debuted Wild And Crazy Kids and from the moment Wild And Crazy Kids debuted it's first episode Nickelodeon knew this interesting show would soon be a winner. And with it's interesting concept Wild And Crazy Kids was not just a game show but a fun show to see. And with Annette Chavez "later replaced by Jessica Gaines" Omar Gooding who is the son of Cuba Gooding Jr. and Donnie Jeffcoat this amazing trio of hosts made Wild And Crazy Kids successful. And some of the games that were featured on Wild And Crazy Kids were fun like one episode had teams playing Twister and with an awesome theme song Nickelodeon knew that this show would be huge and they would sometimes put Nickelodeon stars on Wild And Crazy Kids such as Marc Summers and other stars they knew it would work so well. I think when Wild And Crazy Kids ended it's run Nickelodeon knew that this show would lead them to create other game shows such as What Would You Do? Nick Arcade Legends Of The Hidden Temple and Figure It Out and if it wasn't for Wild And Crazy Kids Nickelodeon would not have so many hit game shows. It's really sad that Nickelodeon has drifted away from game shows today and focuses on sitcoms and cartoons mostly and if Nickelodeon showed game shows today they would be number one and if they were to revive Wild And Crazy Kids today it would be a hit reboot
