I will not watch the Mabel Woods segment whenever I come across that episode on YouTube. I can't. The strictest possible punishment is not enough for the people who did that to those dogs.

Agreed. Anything involving cruelty to animals is a hard pass for me. I honor UM for exposing this abhorrent, abominable, depraved, monstrous act and seeking to catch the subhumans responsible. However, I just cannot watch.

Joseph Collins, who stole a custom handicapped van for John Carpenter, who's in a wheelchair, and then abandoned it, completely trashed. It's a brief lost segment, but as someone who knew someone in a wheelchair who drove a custom van like that, it makes my blood boil. I hope they caught the guy.

Let's hope there is a special kind of hell for all animal abusers.
The lost loves case of Delia Fazzani and Laura Frankland bothers me... it seems they didn't keep in touch afterwards, and Laura passed away a few years ago. |

It is the only UM segment I cannot watch. And writing this with my dog beside me is a constant reminder there is not a hell hot enough for the people who committed that or similar acts. |

The case of "Carol," shot on Brayman Hollow Road in Connecticut. I know that speculation about the identity of her still-uncaught assailant has circulated, maybe even on this very board. That case disturbs me for several reasons:
1) the idea of being all alone as a woman, in a car or not, and having some sicko target you. 2) Carol being someone who tried to help mental health patients. 3) the composite being so "normal" that it gives me the creeps. 4) the fact that they still have not caught the sicko after decades. 5) the actor who played the shooter in the reenactment (great performance) and the glimpse of his eyes in the truck's rearview mirror. Bone-chillingly evil. 6) no one stopping to help Carol or even see if she was okay with her car parked in the middle of the road. |

Jill and Julie Hansen. I saw this segment for the first time when I was pretty young, and I remember feeling so upset when Julie's death was announced after she had managed to survive the blaze and being shot. And of course, Jill being shot and being unable to flee and perishing. These poor girls were in their own home and should have been safe. And for Julie to go through weeks of suffering physically (and emotionally from losing her twin) only to die from an embolism is simply heartbreaking. Not to mention that there was no justice served here. I feel horrible for their parents and sister.
I mentioned the Jordan family fire above (absolute devastating) and yet another fire segment I can't bear to watch is the one with Donna Baldeo and her children. So sickening and to find out it was two juveniles apparently thinking it was funny to set fires (and getting no jail time) makes it even worse. I also can't watch the Mabel Woods one. Intentional fires harming innocent people and animals is just too much to bear. |

That of Rachel Timmerman and her baby Shannon, god what a sad and disturbing life that young lady lived. That case genuinely disturbed me so much I had to stop binging the show for a while.

Oh yes, Angela Hammond still gives me nightmares. The idea that she could've been the target of a serial abductor is creepy too.

Yep very scary and I fully believe the guy who kidnapped her was an out of towner, I’ve called it from the beginning because if he’s from there, he would’ve been spotted by now with that distinctive look and truck.

Rachael Runyan. The details of her murder make you sick to your stomach. Even worse still, her killer hasn't been identified or arrested in nearly 44 years.
