Yeah, agree! And Max was cute all concerned for Schneider.

The second episodee was pretty good at first I thought. Than it kind of dragged. When the paramedics thought Grandma was the one with the medical issue and Ann said not her. Grandma says" Mind your own business, Ann" she liked the younger men tending to her!,

No Mark in either episode !
I like the character the storyline made me sleepy. Sam sneaking cigarettes the half of the episodes had me almost snoring lol

It is a bit of a PSA, but as Bonnie alluded to, if it got even one person to quit smoking it was worth it.

Well Just want to say the Nearness of You was the best ep of season 9. The only real watchable episode of the entire week. And I was surprise to see my man Mr. Carlin again at the travel place. Max was a weirdo in this episode catching feelings for his sister in law. Now I know working around a woman everyday who is attractive can make you feel something for her but not family lol As george lopez would say........."That's just lazy And Grandmom romano trying to set up a THREESOME for MAX at the end bringing in 2 beautys The 1st girl she brought in was Hot and thats the one she should have called.

But defintely best episode of the season followed by

Travel agent
Not a creature staying
Sam's apartment

Not the greatest Finale. Not enough of the cast all together at same time especially at the end. And I guess Mark and Barb and Max and Grandmon continued their life living together. I dont remember them saying they are going anywhere. And why did Schneider have to put on a suit just to say Goodbye? Atleast say I wanna take yall out to dinner so we can spend one last time together

Is this the first big Lear show with a finale? I don’t remember AITF or ABP having one. What about Jeffersons, Good Times, Maude, or Sanford and Son?

Yeah . They all stayed living in the house. I think Max started dating that cute red headed cosmotologist from The nearness of you.

Schneider often dressed in a suit when it wasn't needed. Remember Male Jealousy , season 5 when Schneider came to Ann's for the dinner invite? And his suits always looked like cheap suits.

Poor Max was lonely ! But taking a big risk, esp. Kissing his Sister in law in the living room with her Husband right in the kitchen! But the kiss " curled Barbara's toes " she said!
