Oh wow. That is what I thought . Antenna definitely cut out the scene with Ann. She really should have been in it, being a Romano. And it was a funny scene. Ann comes in the house cussing at Barbara for borrowing a blouse from her and not returning it . Than notices Tony the priest and tones down her language. Something like that. It's been a while since I've seen the uncut version.

Mark was so out of character too. He has a good sense of humor and all, but I never saw him as a practical joker type who would think it is funny to pull pranks on people. It kind of made Mark look the fool.

Grown a$$$ men acting like kids. I never ever ever found a goofy grown man to be funny
Then you missed the closing credits where it looks like CBS was considering this a back door pilot to give those two their own show called The Funny Boys. I never really found written proof of this, but that’s how it feels to me. It would explain why they dominate so much of the episode.

I don’t know if this was intentional to set up Nearness or just a coincidence, but did you notice part of both episodes yesterday involved Barbara and Max vs. Mark.

Part of her not being in it much was that for the first time she co-directed the episode (also with Nearness). That probably was a lot of work for her. But yeah, as the main Romano of the show she should have been in it more heavily.

By the way, the $4 Max found in his pants pocket is equivalent to around $13 today

That would have been cancelled during the commercial break

I think this is the first time since I started watching the show that I disliked the 8pm and 830pm episode 2 nights in a row

Sam's smoking addiction...........
Schneider getting electrocuted......

Well it wont be 3 nights in a row because tomorrow is The Nearness of you and the Finale

I like the first half of the electrocution one. Watching Barbara try to kill Schneider for busting up her nose will always be amusing.

I thought you would like the first episode. Alot of Sam in it. And some funny banter with Sam and Schneider. I thought it was a pretty good episode. And I agree with Sam about Ginger snaps. I don't like them either. One of my Grandfathers and an uncle died from smoking so I couod relate to it at the end. . Emphysema and cancer .

The second episodee was pretty good at first I thought. Than it kind of dragged. When the paramedics thought Grandma was the one with the medical issue and Ann said not her. Grandma says" Mind your own business, Ann" she liked the younger men tending to her!,

No Mark in either episode !

I think maybe this spin off might have found an audience with kids. They might have enjoyed those goofy guys.
