Partridge Family is really an adult show - the young kids are props, while Danny, Laurie, Keith, Shirley, Reuben interact as adults

Brady Bunch is directed at about a 10 to 12 year old level.

The Brady Bunch resonates with pop brightness and incredible casting. All six of those kids were winning personalities. And the set was spectacular. The simplicity of the concept makes it timeless and relatable. I also like the songs.

The Partridge Family had awesome music, delicious David and Susan and very funny Danny. Beyond that the set is sort of depressing and the two little kids are oddly non-characters. They were also very unclear about how successful the pop group was within the show - sort of had it both ways.

I like both shows for different reasons. I thought the Brady Bunch had better storylines and I could relate to it more, but the Partridge Family had better singing and music. Overall I prefer the Brady Bunch but I still enjoy the Partridge Family as well. I discovered the Brady Bunch when it first came to Nick at Nite in 1998 when I was in second grade, but I didn’t really discover the Partridge Family until Antenna TV first launched at the beginning of 2011 with it on there.

The Partridge Family wins because it usually has great music, except when that horrible neighbor kid singer came in season 4. Keith, Laurie, and Shirley are more interesting than anyone on The Brady Bunch. Danny can get annoying fast though, several Bradys beat him.

I've always felt that Eight is Enough was more of the stronger head-to-head competitor of The Brady Bunch than The Partridge Family.

I tend to think the Brady Bunch will come in stronger, only for the show has been in syndication so much longer. Only a few stations ran the Partridge Family and it didn't stay long. As for me, I do like the music in the Partridge Family.

The Brady Bunch wins because the episodes were about the Brady's. There weren't too many guest stars on the Brady Buch.

The Partridge Family by comparison quite often relied on outside, one time characters to carry the plot. Nothing wrong by itself with all the guest stars the Partridge Family had, but a lot of the plots weren't about the family.
