After I Dream of Jeanie ended, Larry Hagman’s career went into a bit of a slump until Dallas. Who remembers the unsuccessful sitcoms he co-starred in during the early 1970s - The Good Life and Here We Go Again?

I remember both shows but not enough to recall any details. Both series ran for only a half season if I remember correctly.

During this same time frame, early 1970's, Larry Hagman was in a made for TV comedy movie titled Getting Away From It All. Barbara Feldon was in this movie also. Not a great movie but it has a Green Acres type of feel to it with city people moving to live in the country.

When I said Hagman’s career was in a slump for much of the 1970s, I don’t mean he couldn’t find work. For example, he was a regular in made-for-TV movies. But it took Dallas to make him famous again, maybe more than when he played in “Jeanie”.

I remember "The Good Life". Sadly both it and its lead-in "The Partners" were gone by mid-January of '72.

I remember THE GOOD LIFE, like IDOJ it was also on NBC and aired the season after IDOJ was canceled.
