Actor Annie Wersching, best known for playing FBI agent Renee Walker in the series “24" and providing the voice for Tess in the video game “The Last of Us,” has died. Wersching passed away Sunday morning in Los Angeles following a battle with cancer, her publicist told The Associated Press. Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Wersching appeared on dozens of television shows over the course of her two-decade career. |

I was surprised when I heard this. Loved her on "24".

Annie Wersching's 24 Performance Made Renee Walker Invaluable
Annie Wersching's portrayal of Renee Walker in 24 was not only a fan-favorite, she made Renee the spinoff lead that the franchise should've had. |

I didn't know her work (except she played the Borg Queen on Picard) but she was ten years younger than me, and probably lived a much healthier lifestyle than myself.
There was a woman who graduated high school with me who died in 2021 of cancer at 53.I didnt know her aftyer high school but she was a Christian girl in school and kept her faith, was married, active in her church, was a grandmother, and would bet $10,000 she never smoked a cigarette, or done an illegal substance or drank more than a glass of wine at Christmas her whole life. She was a good woman and didnt deserve that. My mother in law died in December and she was 94 years old, old enough to be this woman's grandmother. For me, she died well, she died at home, in her bed and passed away in her sleep. Not in a hospital in pain with tubes in her, in fear. She lived to see her oldest child turn 70. I hate death and am scared of it. I think nothing happens afterwards and that is it. The person doesnt go anywhere or meet any loved ones in the afterlife. You are just gone....forever. As Frank Sinatra said "You gotta start living baby, because dying is a pain in the ass." |
