the episodes are all over 24 minutes. So I assume it's as it aired on NBC in 85-86

Just got my set yesterday and I liked. the extras were good and there was no editing.

I am thinking of picking up the DVD soon...also, I am glad to hear that there are not any editing done on the episodes...

God I'd forgotten how much I loved this show. I picked up the set yesterday and it's all starting to come back to me. I haven't seen an ep in years! Totally worth the $22. I'm about 8 episodes in, can't wait to get to the rest. For anyone who isn't a fan of this show, please blind buy this set. It's only $20-$25 bucks, and I think it's well worth it. One of the great shows from NBCs Saturday Night Lineup. Now if only the rest of those great shows would be released, like Empty Nest, Nurses, Amen, etc.

Hopefully this set will sell pretty good and we'll get Season 2 early next year

I just got mine last week, I delayed it a bit until payday. I grew up watching 227 in the NBC Saturday night line-up along with Golden Girls and Amen. There's great extras on this set, I hope the remaing four seasons get released too!

227 is a show I vaguely remember watching sometimes as a kid in the 1980s but I didn't remember much about the show itself. This past weekend I checked the DVD out of the library - I really enjoyed it! It really was a nice, fun show that everyone could enjoy. I liked the strong relationships the characters had. I'm much more familiar with Jackee Harry from her role on Sister, Sister (one of my favorite shows as a teen), but I enjoyed her breakout role on this show as Sandra. Hal Williams (aka Officer Hoppy on Sanford & Son) was a huge plus as the warm, strong and wisecracking husband.

The only drawback is the first disc in the set I checked out is so badly damaged I couldn't watch any of it. I'll see if I can get another set from the library so I can watch the rest.
