I wish Antenna TV would ring back Head of the Class, now that's a show I liked Howard on.

I'm finding Sam to be OK! As good as any guy for Ann. She has drama with everybody , so I guess this match up is as good as any!

Wouldn't it have been cool if after 9 seasons the show went full circle and it turned out in the finale that Ann and Ed actually got back together again?
I think that would have been very interesting, actually! Never thought about that.

Full circle moment.

I liked Sam.

He was kind of the voice of reason with Ann and let her know when to leave a tender moment alone.

She tended to over analyze every little thing which can be very annoying.

They just didn't match up very well to me. Howard is a great actor, especially on WKRP and Head of the Class (which, I haven't seen yet but is coming to Antenna TV supposedly in Sept.), but he just seemed boring and w/o depth on ODAAT. If only he had a more interesting backstory. And just how coincidental was it that they had both been divorced?

True because Mark's parents were still together until shortly before Bark's wedding if I am right. The timing of their sudden split was suspicious.

Also, Mark was an only child. Maybe he could have an attractive sister that could have been a potential match for Max so the show could even be more semi incestuous for want of a better word.

Bark's wedding? Are you talking about Mark or Barbara? I'm thinking Mark. If so, I think maybe they were still together? Even so, why would Barbara want her Mom dating and eventually marrying her father-in-law? Is that even that normal? I have no idea!

It is NOT normal especially when Babs didn't even want to take a literature class with her because she wanted to distinguish herself from Ann. The fact that she and Mark who should have felt some loyalty to his own mother, were so encouraging of this match was very random and contrived.

Yeah, Bark is their couple name. Probably a bad time to make that joke.

Sorry.

Yeah, I definitely wouldn't do what ol' Babs did to Ann. She may have loved Sam but definitely random.

No, it's fine. I understand the joke and I know you didn't mean that.

Along with the Sam keeps his apartment and everyone knows it except Ann episode, that one was also pretty contrived. I mean, how would she not have known?

I didn't care for Nick, I thought he was dull. David was okay, kind of funny. I liked Ed, her ex-husband the best. As for Sam, he was okay, maybe not the greatest match for Ann. I did like the scene where he came into the apartment on horse back and picked her up. That was a pretty cool boyfriend thing to do.
