Mckenna Grace has landed the first major role in the upcoming live-action "Scooby-Doo" series from Berlanti Productions and Netflix.

Sources say she will play Daphne in the eight-episode series. The project, from Midnight Radio, Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television, landed for development at the streamer in a competitive situation last spring with a premium, script-to-series commitment.

As Mckenna Grace prepares to unmask some monsters in Netflix‘s live-action Scooby-Doo series, she’s got the support of Mystery Inc. past.

Sharing Deadline’s reporting that Grace will play Daphne in the eight-episode series, her predecessor Sarah Michelle Gellar gave the actress her stamp of approval with a mention on her Instagram Story.

“You are going to be perfect!!” wrote Gellar.

Paul Walter Hauser joins Netflix’s live-action Scooby-Doo series

The Emmy-winning actor’s role is being kept under wraps. He joins Mckenna Grace as Daphne Blake, Tanner Hagen as Shaggy Rogers, Abby Ryder Fortson as Velma Dinkley, and Maxwell Jenkins as Fred Jones. As EW points out, Hauser is “the most Scooby-Doo actor who has ever existed.”
