Update on Law & Order SVU's "Corrosive" episode

Timothy Busfield's role in the "Corrosive" episode of Law & Order: SVU has been recast with David Reyes (from Showtime's Dexter). All of the scenes featuring Mr. Busfield were reshot, and the episode will now air on February 26 (the Thursday after the Winter Olympics' closing ceremony).

NBC has announced their expected and poised renewals for next TV season. In addition to the renewals of St. Denis Medical and Happy's Place, both for S3, they also will be planning on renewing the One Chicago franchise (Fire for S15, P.D. for S14 and Med for S12), Law & Order for S26 and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit for S28, leaving Stumble, The Hunting Party and Law & Order: Organized Crime currently on the bubble.

Happy's Place is airing new a half hour later than usual tonight because of Artemis coverage. So the idiots at NBC decide not to advertise the special time casual fans will miss during last night's Law and Order (I just saw it now with local coverups taken out). Yet Reggie Dinkins, which might not even get renewed, gets its finale advertised twice. And they had two long spots with just the NBC logo and its extended theme playing. Tonight's primetime Artemis coverage wasn't advertised either.

Stumble has stumbled to cancellation. Brilliant Minds is also officially canceled. You would normally say a show like Brilliant Minds yanked from the schedule has no shot of returning, except for CBS with their Harlan Coben stupidity.

I really hope the Rockford Files refake dies down and does not get ordered to series. I want the Jane Lynch and Katey Sagal sitcom picked up and put on Fridays after Happy's Place.

Too bad they passed on Jill & Ginger, the sitcom starring Jane Lynch and Katey Sagal. And boo! The Rockford Files refake has been ordered to series. May it fail like the Bionic Woman and Knight Rider remakes did on NBC. At least Line of Fire starring Peter Krause sounds interesting.

NBC picks up 4 pilots, including The Rockford Files

NBC has officially ordered four new series for the 2026-2027 season from its pilot slate, highlighted by a reboot of The Rockford Files starring David Boreanaz and the Jake Johnson-led comedy Sunset P.I.. Also picked up are the drama Line of Fire and comedy Newlyweds, focusing on established star-driven vehicles for the upcoming fall schedule.
