Gotta give it to Jack he covered his tracks and lived quietly on the run.
He must be a very disciplined man and probably lived a very simple life. Hell he even thought enough of his wife to leave behind 170K with the letter he left. Enough for her to maintain and or start anew life. She turned it into the cops though. 170K was a lot of money back then. I wonder if she ever regretted it? LOL. I love the mysteries where the bad guy actually gets away albeit not hurting or harming anyone. So you can guess some of my favorite segments includes DB Cooper, The Tunnel Robberies, and the guy who faked his death in a plane crash..among other popular scams where the bad guy seems to have got away. |

SOLVED! Wow! -- I sometimes watch UM while I am cleaning at night and the next day I will look up the cases to see if there are any updates. I just watched this one last night and imagine my surprise just now reading that FBI announced yesterday they had located him as a man that died back in December. |

It's also.. Historically quite the moonshine hotspot.. Which.. Leads to people minding their own business and not getting involved with anyone else's. In other words, a great place to hide, it would seem |

It makes me so happy to see that we are still getting updates for UM well into the 2020s.
