1992 is around the time that I started getting into the show and I turned ten that year. I remember flipping back and forth from TBS and WGN because the show was on them two stations at the same time.

Saved by the Bell only had four seasons and produced about 86 episodes. And yet, they were able to stretch it out to six seasons by adding Good Morning, Miss Bliss (after those episodes were retrofitted to air in syndication) and Saved by the Bell: The College Years to the syndication package. Not to mention the movies (Hawaiian Style and Wedding in Las Vegas and then, The New Class.
None of the stars like Tiffani-Amber Thiessen apparently, made any real money on SBTB, despite how popular as it was. Otherwise, the cast would have to be paid bonuses once they reached 100 episodes. Instead, GMMB and TCY were like I said, repurposed into the entire SBTB package to meet the 100 episode minimum and sell the show into syndication without having to pay the actors. |
