NBC Cancels "Suits LA"
"Suits LA" Canceled at NBC after One Season
by Rosy Cordero, Nellie Andreeva May 9, 2025 It’s one and done for NBC’s legal drama "Suits LA" headlined by Stephen Amell. Given the high-profile IP involved, NBC had high expectations for the series from "Suits" creator Aaron Korsh. They never materialized: after an OK premiere, viewership for the offshoot, which airs on Sunday, has remained low. This is now the second "Suits" spinoff to run for one season, following USA’s "Pearson". https://deadline.com/2025/05/suits-l...bc-1236391782/ |

NBC’s Jeff Bader Answers for "Suits LA" Cancellation
by Lynette Rice May 12, 2025 There was a lot of excitement about reviving "Suits", which made the cancellation of the Stephen Amell starrer "Suits LA" on Friday all the more surprising. When asked over the weekend why the spinoff had to go, NBCUniversal’s President of Program Planning Strategy Jeff Bader admitted “it’s so hard to talk about shows and which ones we’re bringing back.” “Suits LA had a very short run, but it really has not resonated [with audiences in] the way we thought it would,” Bader told reporters during a press conference on Saturday. “There can be many, many reasons why it hasn’t resonated, but it’s just not showing the potential to grow for us in the future, unfortunately. Those are the decisions we had to make.” https://deadline.com/2025/05/nbc-exe...nd-1236392635/ |
