"The Kelly Clarkson Show" is not Planning to End after Current Season
by Emlyn Travis January 26, 2026 A representative for "The Kelly Clarkson Show" confirms to Entertainment Weekly that — despite a recent wave of online speculation — there are no plans for the series to wrap at the end of its current seventh season. “Rumor!” they wrote, before noting that the program’s producer and distributor NBC “will advise directly if there is a show update.” They added, “We are not even halfway through season 7!” https://ew.com/the-kelly-clarkson-sh...-says-11892871 |

"The Kelly Clarkson Show" to End after 7 Seasons
by Nellie Andreeva February 2, 2026 NBCUniversal’s syndicated daytime talker "The Kelly Clarkson Show" will end its run after the current seventh season. The announcement, which was shared with the show’s staff and crew, ends weeks of speculation about its future. Clarkson, whose contract was believed to be up at the end of Season 7, had been rumored to depart. She has now made the official decision to step away from hosting the talk show. It comes after a difficult year for Clarkson who took a leave of absence last spring to be with her children as their father was undergoing cancer treatment. He died last August. “I have been extremely fortunate to work with such an outstanding group of people at The Kelly Clarkson Show, both in Los Angeles and New York,” said Clarkson, who relocated the show from Los Angeles to New York in 2023. “There have been so many amazing moments and shows over these seven seasons. I am forever grateful and honored to have worked alongside the greatest band and crew you could hope for, all the talent and inspiring people who have shared their time and lives with us, all the fans who have supported our show and to NBC for always being such a supportive and incredible partner. Because of all of that, this was not an easy decision, but this season will be my last hosting The Kelly Clarkson Show. Stepping away from the daily schedule will allow me to prioritize my kids, which feels necessary and right for this next chapter of our lives. This isn’t goodbye. I’ll still be making music, playing shows here and there and you may catch me on The Voice from time to time … you never know where I might show up next. But for now, I want to thank y’all so much for allowing our show to be a part of your lives, and for believing in us and hanging with us for seven incredible years.” https://deadline.com/2026/02/the-kel...ns-1236706634/ |

Kelly Clarkson on Ending Talk Show: “There’s Just Too Much on the Plate”
by Armando Tinoco February 20, 2026 Kelly Clarkson shocked "The Kelly Clarkson Show" fans when she announced she was ending her talk show after seven seasons. Although viewers will no longer see her interviewing celebrities and covering hit songs on the “Kellyoke” segment, Clarkson assured everyone she was not quitting show business. “I’m really busy. We were talking at dinner last night. I was like, ‘I know everybody thinks oh, she’s quit.’ I still have other jobs!” Clarkson said on the "Today" show. “So I’m still doing stuff. There’s just too much on the plate, so I was like, ‘You know what, it’s time to kind of pull back.'” Clarkson is one of the judges on "The Voice" Season 29, and she has a successful residency in Las Vegas. She noted that it was “really hard” to leave her talk show, adding, “I work with a lot of people here, too — the crew’s been incredible. It wasn’t the show wasn’t doing [well], that’s what kind of sucked. It was like, everything was going well, that’s what was really hard. And it’s like people’s jobs. We are a family there as well, so that was a really hard thing for me, but an easy decision as a momma. But it’s a big deal for our team.” https://deadline.com/2026/02/kelly-c...ow-1236731097/ |
