When it was announced that Willard Scott would be retiring from Today many fans were saddened and hoped that Willard Scott's successor would be as good. That would soon happen with the debut of Al Roker and it's hard to believe that he has been Today's weatherman for 30 years and I think part of the reason why Al Roker has lasted so long on Today is because of his personality and weather knowledge. And not only that Al is witty full of energy and loads of fun. And not only has he done such a fun job on weather reports on Today Al Roker also has been a game show host debuting with Remember This? on MSNBC "Now MS Now today? and the host of NBC's version of Celebrity Family Feud and I mean they should've chose him to host Family Feud instead of Steve Harvey because Al Roker has personality. How this guy continues to do weather in a fun manner is a mystery but Today was indeed real lucky to choose Al Roker

Before Roker started doing Weekday Edition of Today Show, he was also a part of the Sunday & Saturday editions of Today during the late 80s and early to mid 90s.
