Me too! That'd be great! I wish we could get a digital channel similar to Antenna or MeTV but for classic cartoons!

I agree...

Warner shouldn't sit on the older H-B shows...have a spin-off station called MeTOON TV with cartoons between 1950-1990...digital stations and streaming channels are getting more viewers than cable and satellite right now!

Exactly. Boomerang's pretty much done with the old H-B shows, and the streaming service is nice, but why not license the old toons out to a digital channel who'd be willing to pay a good amount of money for them? Doesn't make much sense to me.

Disney does the same thing too...in the 1980's, Disney aired shows via syndication since it made money. Now Disney should syndicate their shows on Antenna TV or MeTV.

What station would do well with the older Disney Shows...the ones in the 50's and 60's...Antenna TV or MeTV?

Talk about odd couples The zippy, happy-go-lucky Lippy the Lion (voiced by Daws Butler) is always looking for action. Hardy Har Har (voiced by Mel Blanc) is a hangdog, hapless hyena who never laughs. So, naturally the pair are inseparable. Constantly on the lookout for the next big score, the always-optimistic Lippy leads a skeptical Hardy into a multitude of misadventures despite Hardy's worry-wartin.

I've seen a few of these, and I'm not sure what he is. They have a two hour block of these old Hanna-Barbera cartoons on MeTV Toons daily at 11 am Eastern time.

Some of the cartoons are pretty good, some not so good. I've always liked the really old ones, like Huckleberry Hound/Mr. Jinks/Yogi Bear. I also like Quick Draw McGraw, and these are supposedly in the process of being remastered for MeTV Toons and Blu-Ray.

Most definitely a hyena. The irony is that he wouldn’t laugh like a hyena is supposed to; he was always expecting the worst (“Oh dear, oh my, I just KNEW something would happen!”).

There was one Lippy/Hardy ep where Lippy I think tried to get him to laugh (“But you’re a hyena. You’re supposed to laugh.”).

Actually Hardy Har Har got his debut 3 years earlier in a Snooper & Blabber cartoon called “Laughing Guess,” differently drawn, but still moping. More irony: Snooper was almost always drawn deadpan, not unlike Hardy; but in that Snooper episode, they did all they could to get him to laugh. It took an accident—Snoop slipping on a banana peel and taking the fall, where Hardy finally laughed.

We may get to see Snooper and Blabber (and Quick Draw/Augie Doggie and Doggie Daddy) on MeTV Toons in 2026, if it's as good a year for animation as George Feltenstein is promising.
