Jaclyn Smith shows off sculpture made by late friend Farrah Fawcett

It's been nearly 17 years since the legendary Farrah Fawcett died, but her dear friend and Charlie's Angels costar Jaclyn Smith, 80, never stops thinking about her and keeping her memory alive. On Jan. 10, Smith showed off a precious gift from her late friend: a handmade bust sculpture that now sits atop a pillar in her home.

"Always remembering my friend, the incomparable Farrah Fawcett, and her talent that was so much more than met the eye!" she captioned the video, which showed her proudly displaying the beautiful work of art.

"I’m standing next to this beautiful sculpture that my friend Farrah Fawcett did," continued the emotional star. "The last Christmas before she passed away, she gave it to me with the most beautiful letter that I will put in my book that I’m writing now. It says so much about Farrah, and it’s so meaningful... I know there are so many people out there that miss her, and I want to share it with all of you."

Smith praised her "multi-talented" friend for all of her skills, but saved the most important for last. "She was a sculptor, she was a gourmet cook, she was an actress. Her hair was the fourth Angel," Smith joked. "But, to me, she was a girlfriend. Really, a good girlfriend."

Many fans were touched by the post, but one caught Smith's eye: "Just hearing you talk about her and the way your voice gently breaks says everything," they wrote. "It shows how deeply you miss your best friend and how much you cherish the beautiful gifts she left you, reminders of her talent, her love, and the care she poured into everyone around her."

"Between you and me—this was a little bit tough to get through," Smith admitted in her response. "Grateful for her memory in my heart and mementos like this sculpture."

Fawcett was diagnosed with anal cancer in 2006, which returned in 2009 after a brief remission and spread to her liver. She died on June 30, 2009, in Los Angeles at the age of 62. Smith stayed close with the actress and had her back throughout her cancer battle. “She never gave up,” Smith told People after her death, praising her friend for being "relentless in her fight.”
